Obsidian Perennial Ryegrass Blend features two elite cultivars of perennial ryegrass, both of which show off their dark side, including the darkest green variety on the market - ‘Fireball’. This blend exhibits rapid establishment, germinating in as little as 5 days, strong wear tolerance and creates a dark green, uniform lawn.

• Maintenance: To establish, lightly water 2+ times per day until the uppermost layer of soil is moist; Once established, use two or more fertilizer applications per growing season with regular irrigation (1-2 times per week); Recommended mown height of 2-4 inches, and can tolerate as low as 0.5 inches with proper care.
• Growing Condition: Full sun in most soils, from high sands to heavier clay soils; Best suited for cool-season climates but may be used for overseeding projects in the transition zone
• Seed Coverage & Germination: New lawn 7-9 lbs per 1000 sq ft (300-400 lbs per acre); Overseeding 5-7 lbs per 1000 sq ft (225-300 lbs per acre); Germination is 5-10 days under ideal conditions
